What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda, which translates to “knowledge of life”, is an ancient body of wisdom that works with one’s unique elemental nature to create balance and wholeness. It is a lifestyle practice that can helps us heal ourselves through conscious living. The goal of Ayurveda is to both promote longevity by “adding years to life and life to years”. Although Ayurveda has existed for centuries, it’s tools are still both relevant and accessible today!

Ayurveda teaches us that health and wellbeing can be achieved through balancing ourselves with the rhythms of nature. It informs us of our unique elemental make-up, as well as the specific diet and lifestyle we can follow to stay balanced. With this highly individualized practice, we can better understand our illnesses and ailments, learn how to prevent them, and treat them naturally.

Earth. Water. Fire. Air. Space. Ayurveda acknowledges that each and every one of us has our own unique combination of those elements. We call that our constitution, or prakriti. Our environment and the foods we eat are made up of those same elements too. This intermingling disco of elements in combination with poor lifestyle choices is exactly how imbalance is created. To put it simply, what is going on outside the body is reflected in our bodies and minds to some degree.

Get the framework needed to support your daily and seasonal wellness choices. A personal consultation is the best way to determine the lifestyle habits that will work for YOU! This session includes an in-depth assessment of your health history, Ayurvedic constitution and any present imbalances. Learn how to adapt your diet and self care routine to best support your current circumstance.

Follow Up Sessions

60 minutes (4-6 weeks after intake)

Follow up sessions are recommended for continued collaboration on fine tuning your wellness plan. Ayurveda is not a quick fix program. What’s working for you? What’s been difficult to change or integrate? In these sessions, we can dive deeper into your healing process and work together to develop the habits needed for long term well-being. My goal is to help you find your unique state of balance. We can meet as many times as you like to get there.

Ayurveda Lifestyle Course

Ayurveda’s tools can be used for the rest of your life. My goal is to guide you in your quest to understanding your own unique state of balance so that you have the framework to continually make the best choices for yourself. 

In this 10-week program, you will have the support of an online community as you learn and integrate Ayurvedic wisdom in to your daily nourishment and self care practice. 


Vinyasa for your Vikriti Course

in collaboration with Yoga International

Ayurveda teaches us that yoga asana is a powerful tool for restoring balance to your body and mind. In this four part video series, Lindsey teaches how to understand the nature of your current imbalance (vikriti) and how to adapt a vinyasa-style practice to address it!  

From this series, you will gain the toolbox you need to always be able to move appropriately for how you feel.

Learn how to infuse your vinyasa practice (or classes!) with the principles Ayurveda and move through three full length classes each specifically designed to help you energize, cool down, and get grounded. Return to these mixed level vinyasa practices again and again for when you need their balancing support!
